5 Takeaway Places to Create-Your-Own Spicy Pizza

5 Takeaway Places to Create-Your-Own Spicy Pizza

Read Time:4 Minute, 15 Second

See, people underestimate how much they create with the ingredients from the takeaway places. To follow up of the great post that notsobasiclondon’s blogger Charlotte posted, I was thinking of ways one of my favourite foods, pizza can be incorporated into everyone’s life with more than just chilli. How about customising pizza with local takeaway places? This is in no particular order. I have a particular taste for pizza so please excuse the similarity of toppings. All pizza are under £20 and thin crust. It’s not going to be cheap but it’s definitely delicious and spicy.

I usually order through JustEat so there might be a bigger variety of other places you can find. I’ll list the ingredients below so you can get a better idea of what you can.

Dominics Pizza (£13.50)

It’s one of my favourites for the fact that the pizza comes as you’ve envisioned. Also in my opinion, they have the biggest variety of peppery ingredients. There’s about seven options like tandoori chicken and jalapenos to name a few. It mixes really well and tastes delicious. The service is quick and I highly rate them for everyone to try. Just like most pizzas, expect it to be a bit greasier but still one of the best in the Croydon area.

Ingredients

  • 15″ Thin Crust
  • Green Peppers
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Green Chillies
  • Mexican Chicken
  • Pepperoni x 2
  • Tandoori Chicken

Pizza2Night (£15.05)

My go-to for pizza. I’ve ordered from here countless of times. It’s free delivery and the minimum you spend is only £9.99. Not only that, but they have quick delivery toyour place and the spice is exactly what you want!

The simple base of cheese and tomato is greatly seasoned when you add oregano and garlic to it, it’s essential to your pizza if you ask me. One thing I have to mention is that if you order pepperoni, it will be hidden under the cheese which was an interesting surprise. From their usual menu if you are interested in a default option, have the Gorgeous Balti.

Ingredients

  • 15″ Thin Crust
  • Hot Chillies
  • Oregano
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Green Peppers
  • Tandoori Chicken
  • Pepperoni

Fireaway Designer Pizza (£9.99)

The build-your-own option is a must, no question. It definitely has the second most spiciest ingredients for you to choose from. Especially the chilli oil to add to your pizza which I might try next time. They have many branches in and out of London. Just £9.99 during collection and you can add as many toppings as you want. The base and crust is soft, thin and crispy. Because it’s thin and crispy, all the ingredients manage to stay on and mix really nicely for a glorious taste.

Ingredients

  • 15″ Thin Crust
  • Tomato base
  • Garlic
  • Chilli x 2
  • Basil
  • Parsley
  • Green Pepper
  • Pulled Chicken
  • Chorizo
  • Pepperoni

Papa Tops Pizza (£15.45)

I believe I never gave Papa Tops Pizza enough credit. Mainly because I thought it was the same as Tops Pizza, another independent pizza shop. The base and make is what I love about it, as it’s thin and can have a lot of spicy ingredients on it, just like Dominics & Pizza2Night. I remember vaguely how the spice radiates out of the pizza especially the tandoori chicken and chillies.

Ingredients

  • 15″ Thin Crust
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Basil
  • Oregano
  • Green Peppers
  • Hot Chilli
  • Tandoori Chicken
  • Pepperoni

The Fat Pizza (£8.00)

This is the cheapest one you can get starting at just £5, just like an expensive supermarket pizza. The price and small delivery fee (50p) is worth it. With a cheap pizza however comes the lack of spicy ingredients which is quite a shame and I wish they’d offer more as they’d be very popular if so. Double the ingredients for a more spicier touch.

Ingredients

  • 12″ Thin Crust
  • Mixed Pepper
  • Jalapeno
  • Grilled Chicken
  • Pepperoni

Honourable Mentions

Super Pizza (£17.20)

12″ Large Thin Crust (£16.09)

During this lock down, I was looking for more independent places to try making my own spicy pizza. Firstly, Super Pizza was a really nice change but I do think the presentation of the pizza was a bit sloppy even with the amount of ingredients I asked for especially with all the peppers and chicken.

It still tastes delicious and with the added jalapenos, there is a burst of spice that you can feel upon the first bite. When adding cheese, garlic and herbs to the stuffed crust it becomes more creamier from first bite to when you finish and the taste still stays in your mouth. I highly recommend Super Pizza especially how they have a 20% discount on Fridays.

Ingredients

  • 12″ Thin Crust
  • Stuffed edge (Cheese, garlic & herbs)
  • Fresh tomatoes
  • Jalapeno
  • Beef
  • Fresh garlic
  • Green peppers
  • Tandoori chicken
  • Pepperoni
  • Mexican Chicken
  • Chillies

Mamma’s Pizza (£12.99)

They got an honourable mention because while I’ve only customised from selected choices on their menu, they still have a rather decent range. Prices can vary.

I found that adding sundried tomatoes to the mix of jalapenos and tandoori chicken made an extremely delicious peppery combo. One day I would like to go back and try creating my own pizza with Mamma’s Pizza and see what kind of spicy combo would taste good on it.

Ingredients

  • 14″ Thin Crust
  • Sun-dried Tomatoes
  • Onions
  • Jalapeno Peppers
  • Tandoori Chicken
  • Pepperoni
  • Garlic Sauce
