London has an abundance of food but spicy dishes? It’s hard to determine what’s worth you going to eat at and it’s hard to name them all so I’m going to do it for you ☺️ So far, so good but I’m still on the hunt for more dishes and any that you tried or want to recommend me are appreciated so please leave a comment below.

WC (West Central)

  • Any curry with Level 5 spice (excluding omu rice curry/omelette, starts from £12) from Curry House CoCo Ichibanya (Japanese) ?️?️?️ The taste is almost like a level 4 in Japan. While it is not the hottest amongst curry fans, it definitely has a sense of Indian spice to bring to the curry. Very small place with a more greenery-yellow interior, staff and service are excellent. You’ll get your food in no less than 15 minutes and they are always checking to refill glasses for water and fukujinzuke. (17-18 Great Newport St, Covent Garden, WC2H 7JE |

W (West)

  • Geki Kara (£11.95) from Tonkotsu Soho (Japanese) ?️ ?️?️?️ Has a familiar kick to it and more of a creamy scotch bonnet chilli taste to the dish. More noodles, less broth for the future. Upstairs seating makes the place a little bigger. Tables of two and four. Service to order and pay is really fast and can be served in 10-15 minutes. (63 Dean Street, Soho, W1D 4QG | SEE POST.

SW (South West)

  • Lazy Goat Ragù-men (£16) from Nanban Brixton (Fusion-Japanese) ?️?️?️ The scotch bonnet pickles mixed with the seasoning has a comforting warmth. Portion is smaller than usual due to presentation. The place has wooden interior choice of seating and very quick service. (426 Coldharbour Ln, Brixton, SW9 8LF |
  • Chilli Yakisoba (£8.30) & Beef Black Bean Sauce with Rice (£9.50) from Slurp (East Asian)?️?️?️?️ Took me by surprise with the spices in the dishes especially Black Bean. Quite authentic. The place isdesigned for large groups to enjoy with their long benches and square tables. Really friendly and quick service from the staff. (104-106 Streatham High Rd, Streatham, SW16 1BW  |
  • Curry Goat (£11.75) & 1/4 Jerk Chicken (£11.95) from The Real Jerk (Caribbean)?️?️ Classic home-cooking taste that has a little spice to it. There’s a bunch of taste brought through with the combo of seasoning. Cute setup of the place, like any traditional Jamaican places it is best to order as soon as possible due to the wait time. (89 Streatham Hill, Streatham, SW2 4UD |

NW (North West)

  • BiangBiang Noodles from Murger Han Euston (Chinese) ?️?️ The chilli oil drips onto the noodles, pork and vegetables and because of that, when mixing everything together the spice gradually progresses. A bit small in the Euston branch but it feels like more traditional as more Chinese locals and tourists go there. (62 Eversholt St, London, NW1 1DA |
  • Mapo Tofu or Braised Beancurd with Spicy Minced Pork (£12.80) from Golden Dragon Colindale (Chinese) ?️ Got a hint of spice but almost the seasoning mixed in the juices of the tofu and mince brings the flavour out much more. Very round tables to hold a big group of people, at least 5 or more. Very traditional interior and quick service. (399 Edgware Rd, NW9 0FH |

NE (North East)

  • More dishes to come…

E (East)

  • Drunken Noodles (£10.00) from Rosa’s Thai Cafe (Thai) ?️?️?️ Drunken Noodles was really good and the spice from it is just about right, not too bad. The mix with soy sauce, basil and garlic makes the spice linger more. The branch is really small so it is best to go in two’s. Service is very quick, they will take your order in 5 minutes and food is served 10-15 minutes later. (12 Hanbury St, Spitalfields, London E1 6QR |

EC (East Central)

SE (South East)

  • Glass noodles with potato and beef (+Beef throat Tripe / Shredded Ox’s Tripe in Chilli Oil (£8.50) Special Fried Rice (£6.00) Glass noodles with potato and beef Pork in chilli oil and dan dan noodles Pork and Vegetable Boiled with Sichuan Style Oil (£8.80)) (TBT) from Sichuan Restaurant and Karaoke Bar (Chinese) ?️?️?️?️?️ There is quite a good amount of spice for each dish especially with the peppercorn and the chilli oil added onto most of the dishes. Good portion amounts and would definitely go back again. ( Millenium Leisure Park, Bugsby’s Way, Greenwich Peninsula, London SE10 0QJ ) |
