Jerk Chicken Pizza

Jerk Chicken Pizza

Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

Dolce Vita was one of the few restaurants that had various delicious dishes at Bahia Principe – Margherita Pizza, Rasta Pasta and Penne in Amatriciana sauce (the latter which has shrimps and bacon in it for any Caribbeans who don’t eat pork).

But one in particular, the jerk chicken pizza, was something that combined my favourite food with a sauce that I had grown up having. The pizza was honestly one of my favourite dishes I had from that trip next to the curry goat from Mongoose and homemade cooking of a family friends in Montego Bay.

At first before I took a bite, I wondered where the jerk seasoning was, but quickly realised the base of the pizza was actually jerk sauce and replaced the base the usual tomato puree that I was used to.

It was amazing. The jerk sauce was spread out nicely with tender pieces of seasoned chicken on top and mozzarella cheese covering all over it. Although it was a smaller pizza, the portion was enough. Because the jerk sauce in the pizza lingered on my tongue until I finished, I was extremely full and body hot from the spice.

One day, I hope to make a jerk chicken pizza. It was truly phenomenal to have and I want to go back just to eat this again.
