In Chapel Market, there’s Delhi Grill. It’s known as a small dhaba-style canteen serving delicious Indian street food in Islington. It’s always been highly recommended in the top curry lists on many foodies blogs and articles so going to the restaurant was a must.
As seen above, me and my friend ordered the Lamb Samosas, Aloo Tiki Chaat, Dhaba Tawa Gosht, Garlic and Chilli Naan and Plain Rice. Everything was very delicious and served hot, the Aloo Tiki Chaat in particular was a nice surprise as it mixes chickpeas, yogury, potatoes, chutney and spices together in one dish.
The main event was the Dhaba Tawa Gosht and it was a juicy affair. It’s a dish featuring slow-cooked lamb coated in delicious gravy replete with spices enriched with tomatoes. Not too spicy at all but it had a very nice kick to it and paired with the rice, naan bread and aloo tiki chaat, it was the perfect main dish to complement everything else.
I do hope Delhi Grill can offer a spicier Gosht curry for people especially during the colder months of the year as I think it would do very well. Overall, it’s definitely one of the best places to visit and eat at.
