Moo Phat Kri Mao at Fanny Thai

Moo Phat Kri Mao at Fanny Thai

Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

On my weekend trip to Brussels back in April, I had dinner at Fanny Thai which was highly recommended by my friend and also online for having spicier dishes. The place is not far from Grand-Place, barely a 2 minute walk from the Metro station and on a street with a few other Asian restaurants nearby.

It’s a very small place but the restaurant has many dishes that they recommend you to try (and many that I want to eat next time) such as Mi Xao Thap Cam and Nua Phat Prik but for this trip, I ordered the Moo Phat Kri Mao.

I ordered it spicy and noticed there was a decent amount of chillies put in the dish but as usual I expected more. The pork and vegetables combination was delicious, don’t get me wrong. While it did get hotter and the portions were great, I was still able to eat the dish completely and barely sweated. What I wanted along with extra chillies was for the sauce covering the pork to be more peppery.

I guess Fanny Thai and some of the Thai restaurants I’ve tried in London have to lower their spice ranking in fear for customers burning their mouths. The Moo Phat Kri Mao was still very tasty and I’d love to go back and try more dishes as it was probably the best place I’ve eaten so far with a spicy dish.
