Nyam Recipes – Chilli Yakiudon

Read Time:1 Minute, 12 Second

Once again with the help of Miso Tasty kits made by Bonnie Chung, I was able to make a spicier Yakiudon from the recipe kit. Yakiudon doesn’t get it’s flowers for being as popular as Yakisoba because it’s just as delicious and easy to make due to the noodles. With this recipe, I want people to reach out to not only myself, but also Bonnie Chung if you’ve tried making this. It would be great to hear what you think of the recipe.

Ingredients (Serves 2-3)

  • Miso Tasty Yaki Udon Kit – Chilli Pastes x 2, Miso Paste x 2, Udon noodles x 2, Sesame Oil x 2
  • 1 Chicken or your choice of meat/seafood/vegan ingredients
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1/2 Ginger
  • 1 Spring Onion
  • 1 tablespoons of Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of White pepper
  • 2 Garlic
  • Sesame Oil
  • 1 tablespoon of Mixed herbs
  • 2 tablespoons of Chinese Five Spice
  • 2 Red chilli peppers

How-to Recipe

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces and cook for 15 minutes into a large pan or wok. Make sure to use both the sesame oil supplied in the kit as well as the additional bottle you have.
  2. Add onions, garlic, spring onions, chilli peppers and ginger and stir for 5 minutes.
  3. Once these have been cooked, add the Yakisoba noodles from the kit along with the chilli paste and miso paste. Stir until cooked.
  4. Add the seasoning in for a more richer flavour. Then serve.
