Hidden in Shibuya’s many layers of backstreets, there’s a ramen place that’s perfect to go to after clubbing – たちひら (Tachihira). I discovered it by chance after leaving the club and was pleasantly surprised with the Spicy Miso Ramen I had there. After looking at the menu, I paid ¥1000 (approximately £7) using the machine outside and sat by the counter.
The space is really small and the food does take a while due to how busy it can get but with the spirit of omotenashi, the wait is worth it. The Spicy Miso Ramen is a very comforting dish that I’ve had many times but Tachihira’s version is fresh from the chewy noodles to the spicy broth.
But spicy? Not quite. it’s only around a gochujang level so you will get a slight kick when you eat but not enough to be so peppery. It is only Japan level of spice but it’s evident chilli oil, sansho and chilli garlic are in the dish, I just wish there was a lot more sansho and fresh chilli peppers in the ramen.
The main reason I’d recommend Tachihira’s Spicy Miso Ramen is mainly for the price and if you’re on the lower end of the spice ranking, you’d enjoy the pepper in it a little more. 東京で来て嬉しくて、クラブ終わっらこれ「たちひら」で少し辛さラーメンを絶対に食べおすすめして!
