Since early 2021, I’ve been diving into the best local takeaways that specialise in Indian cuisine. It’s a favourite for many Londoners and myself due to it’s rich flavour and a wide range of spices. Finding a favourite that will become a staple takes time to find. These are exclusive to South West London and are great to have with friends, family or even alone to eat the best spiciest Indian takeaway.
Passage to India
One of my favourite curries, Lamb Naga Sabwal was delicious coming from Passage to India and you can taste the fiery, chilli Naga curry with every bite. Another great addition is the Garlic Chilli Chicken which is nice to have with the rest of your dishes. The Cheese Naan was a nice contrast from the regular naan or chapati I usually order in other places.
Lahore Spices
Lahore Spices was recommended to me on Twitter and the food here is everything you wanted and more. Starting with one of its most popular dishes, Karahi Lamb is extremely tasty and packs a spicy punch. Combining it with Chapati and Chicken Tikka Biryani, it becomes a top notch pairing for seasoned goodness.
Eastern Cuisine Takeaway
It’s an absolute favourite and you’d be wrong not to try this place. Awarded by the British Takeaway Awards, it’s known as one of South London’s best Indian takeaways. It also holds a place in my heart for almost every dish I’ve ordered having a long-lasting spicy taste to it. This includes – you guessed it, my favourite – Lamb Naga Chilli curry, Garlic Gujarati and Hariyali Masala. Without fail, every dish hits with the extra pepper packed into it and with the quick service and quality, you can’t go wrong ordering from Eastern Cuisine.
Overall, these three would average as a spice rank 7.
